Meaning & Story
Labradorite is famous for labradorescence — a sudden flash of blue, green or gold that appears only when light strikes at the right angle. In Inuit folklore it is said to hold the northern lights inside. It is traditionally believed to accompany times of change, and traditionally associated with intuition and self-discovery: an ordinary grey surface hiding an unexpected glow.
Zodiac & Chakra
Traditionally linked with Leo and Scorpio, and associated with the third-eye chakra in folklore — the seat of imagination and inner sight.
Care
The flash lives in thin internal layers, so avoid hard knocks and drops. Wipe with a soft dry cloth; keep away from harsh chemicals. Store separately so harder stones don't scratch its polished face.
